Alumnae

untitled
As a member of Zeta Tau Alpha, membership is for a lifetime. Please keep the chapter updated on your post-collegiate life! We love hearing from our alumnae! Register on our home page to join the sisters-only section of the site. You can reconnect with other Kappa Iotas and get the latest news from the chapter.

There are many ways to become involved with the Zeta Tau Alpha after your college years are over.
But this is the first:
Join Your Local Alumnae Chapter!
Renew and strengthen the bonds of ZTA sisterhood through your local alumnae chapter! An alumnae chapter puts the "forever" in Zeta Tau Alpha.  Alumnae events combine sisterhood, service, interesting programs, networking and FUN!  ZTA has  over 6,000 alumnae members and 2,000 serve as officers and advisors nationally.  Members support their local alumnae chapter by paying dues and participating in the group's activities.  Some, who are unable to attend events, support Zeta Tau Alpha by paying dues.  Alumnae dues support Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation, International Office, ZTA database, fraternity programs and National Officer visits.  Recapture your special ZTA memories and ensure the future of the Fraternity by becoming a member today.

Here is some Common Misconceptions about Alumnae Membership:
Fact vs. Fiction about Zeta Tau Alpha Alumnae Chapter Membership
I don't have time.
FACT: The majority of alumnae chapter members work full time jobs, have families, and still enjoy ZTA after they leave college. Alumna membership only consumes an average of two to five hours of your free time per month.
I'm tired of paying all those expenses.
FACT: ZTA alumnae pay an average of $25-$40 annually for their membership dues. Other contributions to ZTA are strictly voluntary.
I'm burned out with ZTA. I need a break after graduation.
FACT: Alumnae chapters need your youth and enthusiasm to keep them from becoming outdated and stagnant. Alumnae chapters typically meet once a month rather than each week.
I gave everything to ZTA as a collegian. Active membership seems pointless now.
FACT: ZTA membership is a life-long commitment. Being an active alumna is just as rewarding, probably more so, as being an active collegian. Your alumna membership will become more and more valuable and meaningful each year.
ZTA expects me to do too much.
FACT: As with your collegiate experiences, ZTA alumnae experiences are what you decide to make of them. If you want to keep busy, there's always something to do. The more active you become, the more you will appreciate and cherish Zeta Tau Alpha.
I won't know any people in the alumnae chapter. I would feel uncomfortable going to meetings.
FACT: Those "people" are your sorority sisters. You can become good friends with other alumnae. Remember that when you pledged ZTA you didn't know everyone in your chapter. You'll find that you will be just as welcome in the alumnae chapter as you were in your collegiate chapter.
Alumnae chapters don't have members my age.
FACT: Younger alumnae right out of college are joining ZTA alumnae chapters. The future of ZTA resides in our youth. Always remember you have one great thing in common with any alumna - your sisterhood.
Alumnae life is not as active. I think I would be bored.
FACT: Quite the opposite! Alumnae activities are definitely fun. They can range from philanthropic endeavors to collegiate chapter assistance to all kinds of fun-type parties. You'll find alumnae activities to be rewarding, self-satisfying, and never dull.
No one has contacted me about joining an alumnae chapter.
FACT: It may be up to you to make the first contact. Call International Office at (317) 872-0540 or check the If there isn't an alumnae chapter near your home or work, IO can give you a list of sisters in the same situation. You can start your own club or chapter. It only takes five ZTAs and you have a club.
Your alumna status will be different from what you were used to as a collegian. Think about this - you will be a Zeta Tau Alpha alumna far longer than you were a collegian. Please don't think your ZTA membership ends with graduation. It is just beginning! If nothing else, give the alumnae chapter a try before using excuses like the ones above.

The Lehigh Valley Zeta Tau Alpha
Alumnae Chapter

The Lehigh Valley ZTA Alumnae chapter welcomes all Zetas to come to our monthly meetings and social events. We work closely with the Kappa Iota chapter. Volunteers from our chapter make up the Advisory board of KI, host a Founders Day ceremony, assemble exam goody bags and host a senior farewell dinner and alumnae initiation each spring.
Service is also a big part of ZTA’s mission. We participate in a variety of events:
Race for the Cure, donating school supplies, and more. The best part is that we
usually donate money, gift certificates or items you can find in your own home.
We don’t fill your entire month with activities; much like you may have
experienced in college.  Our fun doesn’t end there. We offer a wide variety of
social events ranging from holiday gatherings, dinners, picnics, and happy
hours. Becoming a chapter advisor or simply a supportive alumna is a rewarding
experience.  We encourage you to come to our events and experience ZTA as
alumna.  We look forward to seeing you!
Please join our Meetup Group for more information about joining our chapter:
